Edna H. Davis, age 72 of Antioch, passed peacefully following a lengthy illness on March 28, 2017.

Edna was born November 16, 1944 in Nashville, the only child of Edgar H. and Frances C. Woodard.

She worked in security for many years for Castner-Knott Department Stores and, though a tiny lady, never hesitated to do her job. She was ready to tackle any issue that was presented to her. Later in life she loved her role as a greeter at Woodlawn Funeral Home. With love and compassion she directed families and their friends around the building to their proper areas during services. She cherished the opportunity to meet and greet people as they entered.

Edna will be remembered as one who loved her grandchildren deeply. Friends and family will also remember her as a spunky spitfire, well in control of most situations. She was well travelled with her husband of 20 years, Ronnie, and enjoyed the company of her bulldog "Boomer." Her adventurous spirit also helped her complete a tandem skydive several years ago.

In addition to her husband, Ronnie, she is survived by two daughters: Lisa (Kevin) Hartman and Jennifer (Butch) Reeves, both of Nashville; and 6 grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be Thursday from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, 9090 Hwy 100, Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Friday at Harpeth Hills, with burial in the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.
