REED, Edna E. – Age 89 of Franklin, passed away at her home on January, 13, 2013. She was born October 9, 1923 in Carroll County, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, S.E. and Mamie Thompson Tate; husband Lon A Reed, and sisters, Mildred Walters and Mae Schnabel. She is survived by daughters, Vickie Bill Sowell of Woodland Mills and Judy Jack Lowrey of Franklin; 2 grandsons; 7 great-grandsons; 1 great-granddaughter; 1 great-great-granddaughter; 2 sister-in-laws; 1 brother-in-law, and 8 nieces and nephews. She was a member of West Franklin Baptist Church, a member of Rock City #2 Order of the Eastern Star, and retired from the Tennessee Department of Safety. Services will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 2pm in the Harpeth Hills Chapel with Doug Plumlee and John Rush officiating. Interment will follow in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens with grandsons, great-grandsons, and her great-granddaughter serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers include Ford Happy Couples, Dr. Bruce Richards, and Primetimers Sunday School Class. Visitation will begin Tuesday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm and on Wednesday from 12pm until time of service at HARPETH HILLS FUNERAL HOME 9090 Hwy. 100 Nashville, TN 615-646-9292
