MILLS, Edward Jr. "Sweetie"- Born September 21, 1918 and died on March 28, 2012. Preceded in death by his first wife of 54 years; parents, Edward Mills, Sr. and Hattie Mills and Christine Sherlin Mills. Survived by his wife of 11 years, Willie Donegan Mills; son, Edward Mills III Harriet; grandchildren, Edward Mills IV "Ted", Brandon Lee Mills, Pam Bragg, Larry Mullins and Tina Rucker Don; great-grandsons, Edward Mills V "Eddie" and Joseph William Mills; 6 great-grandaughters; nieces, Brenda Dugan and Barbara Ann Tittsworth. Mr. Mills was a native of West Nashville and attended Cohn High School before serving in World War II. After the war, He returned to West Nashville and worked at several jobs to support his family, then settled at Greyhound Bus Line as a diesel mechanic for the remaining years of his career. He enjoyed travelling in a motor home twice a year to visit family in Florida. He met Willie at the Senior Renaissance Center at Cohn High School, and they enjoyed a pleasant life, constantly teasing each other. They enjoyed activities in West Nashville and Dickson, TN until his health declined and he could no longer drive, a great sadness to him. The life celebration service will be at 12pm on Monday, April 2, 2012 at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Spring Hill Cemetery.
