Edward Thomas

Mr. Edward Raines Thomas “Pappy” age 74, of Nashville, TN. passed away on August 24, 2022, surrounded by loved ones.

Edward was born in Memphis, TN. on September 28, 1947. He graduated from Whitehaven High School in 1965 and shortly thereafter joined the Air Force. While in the Air Force, he served our country as an MP in Southeast Asia. He worked for the Shelby County Criminal Court Clerk's office for many years. In 1979, he had the opportunity to move to Nashville to work in the Tennessee Supreme Court Clerks office until his retirement. Since his retirement he has enjoyed woodworking, eating sweets, drinking coffee, watching westerns, cars and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father, Roy Franklin Thomas, Sr., brothers, Frank Thomas and Jimmy Thomas.

Survivors include his, mother, Mina Lea Thompson, daughter, Brittany (Keith) Mulloy, his “little buddy”, grandson, William Mulloy and granddaughter, Elise Mulloy, sister, Gerry (Bob) Gray, brother, Allen (Debbie) Thomas, also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will begin on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, from 11:00 am until service time at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at Middle Tennessee State Veteran Cemetery, 7931 McCrory Lane, Nashville, TN. 37221 at 2:00 pm.
