Eleanore Jean "Jeannie" Marsh, 75 years old of Kingston Springs TN, passed away on 9/2/17 after a brief battle with cancer. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 10-11 a.m. at Pegram Church of Christ. The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Pegram Church of Christ. Jason Allison will be officiating. Burial will follow the funeral at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.

Jeannie was born in Montreal, Quebec Canada on September 14, 1941. She graduated from Harding High School and continued on to receive a Bachelor's of Science in Biology from Harding University. She then returned to receive a Master's in Education and ultimately attained a Doctorate in Educational Technology from Vanderbilt University. Jeannie was married to John on August 12, 1972; they were married for 45 years.

Jeannie worked as an educator for Cheatham County and other school systems and colleges throughout the years. She had a particular love of encouraging others through sharing scriptures. She was also actively involved in several local community choirs.

Jeannie is survived by her husband, John; children, Jules Marsh and Alice (Marsh) and Keith Parker; grandchildren, Anna Grace Griffin, Greta and Mitch LaFave, Natalie, Gabe, and Gideon Parker as well as her brother, Jack & Lorrie Thompson; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved. Jeannie is preceded in death by her beloved parents Jack and Alice Thompson.
