Elizabeth Ridgway Turner McKelvey, 91, was born in Nashville, TN on July 1, 1928 to Paul Winton Turner and Elizabeth Gebhart Turner. She died on November 22, 2019 at Alive Hospice, Pittsboro, NC.
Betsy was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Paul Winton Turner McKelvey, and William Gordon McKelvey, Jr., her former husband of 23 years and the father of her children.
She is survived by her sons William Gordon McKelvey, III (Elizabeth "Suzy" Wilson), Nashville and John Ridgway McKelvey (Laura Duncan), Chapel Hill, NC. She is also survived by her sisters Paula Anice Turner Jumonville (George Robert), Houston, TX and Nancy Sharon Turner Wilson, Nashville. Grandsons, Joshua Duncan McKelvey (Laurie Gregg Arena), Greensboro, NC and Carey Ridgway McKelvey (Katherine Lancaster), Pittsburgh, PA; a nephew, Robert Turner Jumonville (Aristea Galusha), Los Angeles, CA and nieces, Tiffany Michelle Wilson Schwartz (Steve Thomas), Memphis, TN and Jennifer Anice Jumonville Thompson (Jerry William), Houston, TX; a great nephew Hudson James Jumonville, Los Angeles, CA; a great niece, Anice Katherine Thompson, Houston TX and also a great granddaughter, Dylan Roshene McKelvey, Greensboro, NC.
Graveside service and interment to be held at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens, 9090 Highway 100, Nashville, TN on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 3:00 PM; The Rev. Amy Busse Stoker, officiating.
