Mrs. Elizabeth “Libby” Peters age 69, of Nashville, TN. passed away on April 25, 2021 at St. Thomas West Hospital. She developed aspiration pneumonia as a result of a recent stomach ailment and that quickly resulted in cardiac arrest.
Libby was born on February 9, 1952 to the late James Wilford Lee and Lou Ellen Miles Lee. In her youth Libby loved showing horses, in which she was the Tri-State champion for walking horses and show cars like her 1976 Corvette, in which she won first place with an ornate paint job.
She had been a model and received her makeup artist certification from Christine Valmy Institute and was a Eucharistic minister at the Cathedral of the Incarnation. She was a beautiful lady with an eye for beauty in nature and in life. She was sweet, loving, and kind, who spent hours each day praying. She and Gerry recently celebrated their 48th Wedding Anniversary.
Survivors include her husband; Gerry Peters, sisters-in-law; Cathy Peters and Mary Peters Marx, brothers-in-law; Sam Peters and Bill Peters.
Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 12:00 pm until Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 pm at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1219 2nd Avenue South, Nashville, TN. Burial to follow in the Calvary Cemetery, 1001 Lebanon Pike, Nashville, TN. 37210.
