Ellie Jean Sheriff was born on December 12, 1937, in Nocona, Texas, and passed away on July 31st, 2024, in Franklin, Tennessee.
Jean and her parents moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico, where Jean finished high school. Her best friend, Edith, introduced Jean to her uncle, Bob Sheriff. Bob and Jean were married June 1st, 1957.
Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Bob Sheriff; son-in-law, Steve Gill; and daughter, Gail Sheriff.
Jean is survived by her daughters, Carmen (Jim) Henderson, Michele Gill; son, Mark (Traci) Sheriff; 5 granddaughters, 9 great-grandsons, and 1 great-granddaughter.
Jean loved God’s creation. She found beauty in a fallen leaf or a bird feather, and clouds against a blue sky. She loved to feed the birds in her yard, the neighbors’ cats, and an occasional possum. She couldn’t imagine that God could make anything more beautiful than this earth, but now she knows He did.
