Elva M. Hoy, Age 95, passed away peacefully from this life on April 25, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Raymond B. Hoy and granddaughter Jillaine A. Hoy.
Elva is survived by sons Dr. Gregory R. Hoy (Ann) of North Carolina and Gary A. Hoy (Lise) of Nashville, TN; four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
On Long Island, New York, she was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star, becoming Matron of her chapter in 1971. She was an avid Cross Stitcher and loved solving crossword puzzles. Elva and her husband traveled the United States and abroad.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 27, 6-8 pm with a Funeral Service on Thursday, April 28, at 1:00 pm.
The family would like to thank the staff of Brookdale Bellevue for their TLC.
