Fannie Ivy Patterson, age 89, of Cookeville formerly of Nashville went to be with her heavenly father Wednesday, July 1, 2020. She was born March 16, 1931 in Williamson County, TN to the late Hollie and Pearl (Chandler) Rader. Fannie is also preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Patterson; brothers, Hollie "Bud" Jr., Frank, Charlie, and James "Jimmy"; sisters, Christine (Lewis) Mangrum, Mary Catherine, Margaret (Mac) Johnson, Betty Ruth (John) Lee, Ester (E.C.) Lee; son-in-law, Paul "Butch" Willis; and grandson, Joel Willis.
Fannie was a devout Christian who loved the lord with all of her heart. As a young child she worked on the family farm with her father, milking cows and shucking corn. She spent countless hours watching her preacher with Shepherds Chapel on television. Fannie loved her family and was especially fond of cooking for family reunion dinners. Her family remembers her as a caregiver for many children in the family.
Fannie is survived by her children, Hilda (Steve) Osborne, Danny (Betty) Patterson, Fay Willis, Pearl (Kenny) Taylor, and Francis (Rick) Ricker; grandchildren, Cherrie Dawn, Larry Jay (Beth), Danny Ray (Tonya), Ann Marie, Lisa Marie, Kelly Leanne (Sean), Brian, Joseph "Joe", John (Tanisha), Jennifer, Natalie and Leslie; great-grandchildren, Crystal (Dakota), Rienna, Felicia, Connor, Ben, Amber, Christopher, Caleb, Jonas, Jaidon, and Riley; great-great-grandchildren: Daisy, Diesel, Cameron, Marcus, Maliah, Isaac, Madison, Isabeau, Lylah, Mia; sisters, Janie (Rader) Corlew, Willie Mae (Rader) Ivey, and Roberta "Robbie" (Rader) Tidwell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Monday, July 6th from 10 - 12 p.m. at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will be held at 12 p.m. in the chapel of Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the garden of Serenity of Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
