DEWEY, Flora Marie, age 93 went to be with the Lord on March 19, 2012. She had a life well lived to the glory of God. Marie had a passion to serve God, but her mission was to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. She was a soul winner for the Lord. She taught Sunday School for many years and also became a licensed minister. During her life she accomplished many things such as being the President of Nebraska Food Service and serving many children in school cafeterias with home cooking. In her younger years she loved horses, gardening and farming. At 17 she met and married her late husband of 68 years, Wayne Dewey. She was loved by all who knew her and will be truly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Dewey along with 5 sisters and one brother. She is survived by her sons, Levoy Cleon Dewey and Tim Sheryl Dewey; granddaughters, Cindy Mark Larson and Suzanne Nathan Young, and Melinda Dewey-Haagensen; grandson, David Dewey; great-grandchildren, Rachel, Daniel, and Andrew Larson, Elijah and Benjamin Young, Orion, Trustin, and Sadie Dewey-Haagensen; several loving nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Pavilion Church or the Dewey Family Ministries. A Life Celebration Service will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 5p.m. in the Chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home. Bart Williams and Steve Allen will be officiating.
