Florence Mildred (White) Mabry of Nashville Tennessee, passed from this life to her eternal home with our Lord on May 27, 2020. Florence was born in Clare Michigan on November 22nd, 1929 to Edward Becker White and Viola May (Hawley)White where she grew up learning the love of her parent's greenhouse and nursey with her siblings. Florence graduated from Clare High School and went on to Harding University where she sang in the chorus and earned her Bachler's degree of Education. Florence taught 2nd grade and kindergarten until she retired.
Florence loved the Lord and touched everyone with her gentle and sweet spirit. She was a wonderful Christian example to all that knew her and most of all, a wonderful Mother to her children. She was a founding member of the Grandville Church of Christ. Florence supported Beechwood Hills Youth Camp, more specifically, Beechwood Hills Hee-Haw talent show, where she began to play "Minnie Pearl".
In 2002 Florence moved to Bellevue Tennessee and was an active member of the Bellevue Church of Christ.
She loved to bake and many enjoyed the wonderful delicacies she prepared from her kitchen. Florence's hospitality was outstanding. Her grandchildren also found enjoyment eating the sweet morsels created by Grandma. Along with creating her wonderful sweet goodies, her grandchildren developed the love for rainbow toast, singing "Shine on Harvest Moon" while she played the piano and playing dominos to name a few. Florence made each one of her grandchildren a memory book and gifted them $1000 for their graduation.
Everyone that knew Florence knew she loved the Lord, her children and grandchildren, baking, singing, playing the piano, her favorite color was lavender, and CHOCOLATE.
Florence is survived by her children, Jeff (Saundra) Mabry of Brentwood, Tennessee, Joe (Kristi) Mabry of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Tim (Lisa) Mabry of Nolensville, Tennessee, and Julie Mabry Cross (Jeff) of Shelbyville, Michigan, 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and her sister, Glenna Lewis of Coleman, Michigan.
