ADAMS, Frances Langston, died 8/12/12 at Homewood at Brookmont Terrace. A native of Oklahoma, she attended Peabody College. In 1945 she married Dr. Robert W. Adams, Jr., Nashville Psychiatrist, who died in 1992. She is survived by four daughters, Fran Marney Gordon of Houston, Texas, Susan Wicks of Tucson, Arizona, Patricia Adams of Dallas, Texas, and Anne Adams, Nashville, and five grandchildren, Caroline Marney, Katherine Marney, John "Jay" Marney, Robert Wicks and Dr. Ryan Wicks. She was a member of Belle Meade United Methodist Church. Frances was a loving wife, mother and friend. She especially loved Gracie, the stray kitten she found sleeping in a flower pot on her patio. Frances loved to travel, and she taught her family that the journey is as important as the destination. The family would like to thank Marie Frenz, Janie Thomas and the staff at Homewood and Odyssey Hospice for the loving care they gave to Frances. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on 8/15/12 at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held on 8/15/12 from Noon until service hour at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home.
