Age 70, of Fairview, passed away April 1, 2017.

Fran was best described as a loving, strong, clever, and persistent woman. Always young at heart, she was a true example of a mother, passing those same values and morals down to her daughters. She was known as Nana, not only by her own family, but also by those she met, influenced, and inspired while volunteering at the local school library. She had a passion for nature, bird watching, family genealogy, journaling, antiquing, and reading-but most of all loved spending quality time with her family.

Preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Ray Sanders; 1 sister; 6 brothers. Survived by her loving daughters, Cheryl Denise Bates (Darrel) & Michelle Sanders Brinson; grandchildren, Kayla Megan Bates, Noelle Sophia Bates & Jadon Isaiah Brinson; sisters, Margaret Baird, June Cochran (Bill) & Beulah Mae Cole; brother, Russell Howell; father-in-law, Joe Excell Sanders; many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
