Frank Victor "Sammy" Kyle, of Huntington, WV passed away on March 8 in Nashville, TN where he was living with his son Frank and wife Jennifer.
Sammy served as a Sergeant in the 27th Division during WWII and was a veteran of the Battle of Saipan.
He was employed by the International Nickel Company until his retirement and was a lifetime member of Highlawn Baptist Church.
He is the son of the late Frank Ray Kyle and Stella Baumgardner Kyle and preceded in death by his wife, Nell Turman Kyle, brother, Jack D. Kyle and sister, Anna Marie Davis.
He is survived by his children and their spouses--Frank and Jennifer Kyle of Nashville, TN, Patty and Sam Pinson of Melbourne FL and Ruth and Ron Fraker of Centennial CO, six grandchildren--Garrett and Elliott Kyle, Sam and Adam Pinson and Ron Fraker and Ashley Franzen and eight great grandchildren with two more soon to be born.
A graveside memorial will be held at Ridgelawn Memorial Park at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 12th. A luncheon reception will be held at the Hampton Inn, 1 Cracker Barrel Drive, Barboursville WV immediately following the memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that contributions be made either to Olive Baptist Church, 6288 Little Seven Mile Road, Huntington, WV 25702 or Alive Hospice, 1718 Patterson St., Nashville, TN 37203.
