Frederick E. Preuss II, of College Grove, fell asleep in the Lord on March 19th, at the age of 82. A man of Faith, he was as an Episcopal priest for over 20 years, serving parishes in NY, CT, NJ, VT and TN before becoming a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, where he served on the Parish Council and the Iconography Committee. He was also Choir Director, and founder and curator of the bookstore. He was a teacher, a mentor, a builder, a designer, an artist and a musician. He loved fishing, model railroading, good food, and above all, his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Priscilla, and is survived by his son Paul (Sherrie) Preuss of Nashville, daughters Inge Preuss of College Grove and Kari (Mike) Slukich of Nashville; three grandchildren, Chase and Annika Schmidlin of College Grove and Morgan (Owen) Ward of Nolensville; two great-grandchildren and his beloved Labrador Retrievers.

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 23rd, at 1:00 PM at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 4905 Franklin Road, Nashville, with Father Gregory Hohnholt officiating. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memorial Gardens, 9090 Highway 100, Nashville. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Holy Trinity Choir and the ROMEO Breakfast Club.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Holy Trinity Iconography Fund, 4905 Franklin Road, Nashville TN 37220.
