Gary Raymond Bonn, 72 years old, born May 10, 1944, went to his heavenly reward on Wednesday February 8, 2017.

Preceded in death by his mother, Ella Mae Bonn and his father, Edward Thomas Bonn.

He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Gina B. Bonn; brothers Stephen Bonn (Mary), Gabriel Xavier(Bo) Bonn (Sheila); sister Mary B. Clark (Don). Gary was a devoted loving father to his four children, Gregory Bonn, Michael Bonn (Jamie), Suzanne Bonn Hammonds (Dustin), Daniel Bonn (Debbie); three stepchildren, Angela N. Snyder (Scott), Raymond P. Newsom (Lauren) and Amanda N. Volkert (Gable); Gary was well loved and known as "Papaw" to his fifteen grandchildren, Alexander Bonn, Ashley Bonn, Corey Bonn, Miles Bonn, Curry Hammonds, Caden Hammonds, Marnie Bonn, Chauncey Bonn, Sophia Ann Bonn, Isabella Snyder, Nicholas Snyder, Carson Volkert, Knox Volkert, Annabel Newsom and Oak Newsom.

Gary was co-owner and manager of Farm Depot in Fairview, Tennessee for 21 years. Preceding that, he worked as an application engineer and tool and dye maker for G.E. Corporation, Teledyne, RWC and Detroit Tool. Gary was the example of a fine Christian man who went out of his way to assist people in any way he could. He touched the lives of many and will be sorely missed. He left a wonderful legacy to the seven children who has survived him.

A Memorial Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at St. Matthew Catholic Church. A Celebration Gathering will be from 12-2 p.m. on Saturday, March 4 at The Pavilion at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
