Gary Cooper

Gary Cooper, born on December 20, 1943, in Chicago, IL, passed away on February 17, 2025, in Pegram, TN. He was a beloved father, brother, and grandfather who brought joy to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Gary was an avid hunter and fisherman, with a love for the great outdoors that led him on many adventures. He enjoyed time spent in his camper and on boats. A gifted storyteller, Gary had a unique knack for spinning tales that captivated and entertained. He was known for his warm personality, his iconic bib overalls, and his ability to make anyone feel like a friend, as he never met a stranger.

Gary is survived by his daughter Mitzi (Kyle) Hale; his son Kenneth Cooper; his grandchildren Victoria Hale, Hannah Hale, Mia Cooper, and Matt Cooper; and his brother Donnie Cooper. He was preceded in death by his sister Dianne Cooper; parents Preston and Irene Cooper and late wife Sandra Cooper. 

He will be fondly remembered for his adventurous spirit, kindness, and the love he shared with those around him.
