Gary Taylor, Age 65, of Fairview, formerly of Cullman, AL passed away February 27, 2018.
He was born on September 20, 1952 in Cullman, Alabama to Harold E. Taylor and Gladys Peal Bice. After their brief marriage, his mother remarried and Gary spent his early years in Texas. There he learned the joy of fishing. He would fish oceans, Lakes or ponds throughout the years. On September 23, 1970 Gary joined the U.S. Army. His service took him to Germany to train as a para trooper. Gary returned to Cullman, Alabama. Eventually he met and married Sheila Harwood. In 1996 he moved his wife and two children to Fairview, Tennessee. Gary's first teenage job was in a body shop. There he discovered his love for cars and talent to work on them. He spent a large portion of his adult life in this field. Gary wil be Greatly Missed.
Preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Hulsey; father, Harold E. Taylor. Survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Sheila Harwood Taylor; son, Adam Taylor (Haley); daughters, Cindy Davis (Jamey) and Lauren Taylor; grandchildren, Austin Davis (KellyBeth), Hunter Davis (Shelby) and Dalton W. Taylor; great-grandchildren, Tucker Davis and Shepherd Davis; several extended family members and friends.
A Life Celebration will be 2:30pm, Saturday, March 3rd. Burial to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens with military honors. Visitation will be 12:00pm-2:30pm, Saturday at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, 9090 Hwy 100, Nashville, TN, 37221, 615-646-9292, harpethhills.com
