Gavin K. Matlock, age 54 of Goodlettsville went to be with his heavenly father, Tuesday, June 2, 2020. He was born November 20, 1965 in Nashville to the late Harold and Lynda Matlock.

Gavin was a supervisor for Davidson County Department of Human Services for many years. He had a love of model trains and attended St. Ann Catholic Church.

Gavin is survived by his wife, Juanita Phelps Matlock; son, Blake Matlock (Danielle); daughter, Elizabeth Matlock; daughter, Jessica Matlock; grandson, William Wetherbee; grandchildren, Lynie, Ryan and Brandon; brother, Jeremy Ledbetter (Amanda); sister, Jamie Pharis; and his DHS family.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. - 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, June 16th at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. A celebration of life funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Harpeth Hills Funeral Home with Deacon Marty Malloy officiating. Interment will follow in the garden of Prayer of Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
