BANDY, George E. –Age 85, passed away April 9, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Williamson County, TN he was the son of the late Leroy and Mary Edna Bandy. George proudly served our country in WW II in the Navy. He was a medic on a naval ship. Later in life he became an Optician and owned Horner-Rausch Optical Company which has many stores across the Southeast United States. He was also a long time member of Bluegrass Baptist Church and an associate member of Southwest Baptist Church in Fort Myers, FL. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Georgia A. Bandy; daughter, Glenna Don Fenn; grandsons, Charlie Leslie Boner and D.J. Fenn; great-grandchildren, Annalee and Audree Boner; sister, Gertrude Shull; step-daughter, Pam Steve Elias; step-son, Scott Dale Ruark; step-grandchildren, Sara Marc Macellaio, Steve Mackenzie Elias; Luke and Lexi Elias, Gigi, Scotty, and Carrie Ruark step-great-granddaughter, Eli Macellaio,. A Life Celebration Service will be held on Thursday at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home. Visitation will be held prior beginning at 1 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
