Born September 15, 1942 in Cleveland, Ohio.
Passed at away at the age of 79 on January 9, 2022 in Nashville, Tennessee.
Survived by his wife of 57 years, Catherine Brulin; his children Laura Shelton (Jimmy), Kristopher Brulin and Elizabeth Neilsen (Walter); his grandchildren Jeremy Shelton, Katie Phelps (Nick), Erin Neilsen, Hannah Neilsen and Tyler Neilsen; and his great grandchildren Avery Shelton, Marlowe Shelton and Evelyn Phelps.
George attended Kent State University on a wrestling scholarship and earned a Masters Degree in Chemistry from Akron University.
George worked in the plastic and rubber industry as a polymer chemist.
George enjoyed watching professional sports. His favorite teams were the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians and Tennessee Titans.
George was a Eucharistic Minister and led his family in a Christian life.
George was very devoted to his family and always enjoyed spending time with his family. George enjoyed attending his grandchildrens’ athletic events throughout the years.
A funeral service will be held at Saint Mathew Catholic Church in Franklin, Tennessee on Saturday, January 15, 2022. Visitation from 10 – 11AM following with a funeral mass at 11:00AM.
