Gerald Davis-Age 78, of Nashville, passed away August 13, 2021
Gerald Davis was born in Crossville, Tennessee on November 23, 1942. He graduated from Homestead High School, and joined the Air Force where he served for eight years. After that, he attended Nashville Tech and worked as a machinist at Nashville Machine and Hamilton Machine. He retired at age 70.
Gerald loved the Lord and attended Belmont with his church family for 32 years. His hobbies included fishing, farming, boating, four wheeling, hiking and playing with all the many children in his family. He loved helping others in any way he could, but especially through car repairs.
Gerald was so loving, kind, humble, and talented. He was a joy to be around and his humor and good-nature made him a friend to everyone. He will be greatly missed and was loved tremendously by his family and many others.
Preceded in death by his parents Lena and Lee Davis. Survived by his wife of 32 years Pat Davis; children Melissa Oliver, Gerald Davis, II & Paul Owen (Melissa); grandchildren Shannon Jones (Jeffrey), Shayla Davis, Chaz Oliver (Katrina), Gerald Davis, III, Tyler Davis, Dylan Clay, Amanda Stinnett, Alison Forehand (Rick); 8 great-grandchildren; sister Wilma Richards; beloved dog Laci; a multitude of nieces, nephews and friends .
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Nashville Rescue Mission or Belmont Church World Missions.
A Celebration of Life will be held 3:00pm, Sunday, August 22nd with visitation 2:00pm – 3:00pm at Belmont Church (68 Music Square E, Nashville, TN, 37203).
