Gilbert Fuentes, born September 17, 1928 in McAllen, Texas, died November 22, 2019. He was 91 years old.

Gil is survived by his loving wife, Victoria; his son Charles (Chuck) Fuentes and his wife April Fuentes; daughter Andrea Fuentes and partner CeCe Dorough; grandson James Fuentes and his wife Glenda Fuentes; step-son Tony Voltaggio and his wife Rachael Voltaggio; and his granddaughter Anna Grace Voltaggio.

Gil was kind, generous and loved being with his family. He served in the Navy from September 3, 1946 to June 23, 1949. He retired from Department of Defense in 1985.
He always enjoyed fishing with his buddies and was good with carpentry which he learned during his time in the Navy. He loved working in the garden and feeding the birds. He was an avid collector of Lenox bird figurines. He loved to travel within the United States and Mt. Rushmore was one of his favorite places. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and always participated in the functions that took place.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 am. Burial at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens at 12:00 pm in the Garden of Grace (Catholic Section).
