HILL, Gladys Tate – Age 95, passed away September 11, 2012. Mrs. Hill was born March 10, 1917 in Giles County, TN and retired after 45 years of service with the United Methodist Publishing House. She was a life- long member of the United Methodist Church. Mrs. Hill is preceded in death by her parents, Erskine and Virgie Sanders Tate; husband, William P. Hill; brothers, James "Bodie" Tate, Roy Tate, and Andrew Tate. Survived by nephews, John Tate Faye of Huntsville, AL and Tom Tate Lou of Nashville, TN; niece, Brenda Chris Ethredge of Simpsonville, SC; special friend, Becky Beeler and numerous great nieces and nephews. The family will be receiving friends on Friday, September 14th from 12 – 2 PM with the funeral services following at 2 PM at Hendersonville Funeral Home 353 Johnny Cash Pky. Hendersonville, TN. Mike Ripski will be officiating the service with family and friends serving as pall bearers. Honorary pall bearers will be "The Disciples" Sunday School Class. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to "Young at Heart" or "Love & Concern" at Hendersonville First United Methodist Church 217 East Main Street, Hendersonville, TN 37075.
