Glenna Miller

Glenna Chambers Miller passed away on November 14 at the age of 93. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Ken Miller. She is survived by her children Kenneth Miller (Jill), Barby Miller Magness (Eddie), grandsons, Stuart Magness (Lindsey), Lee Miller (Ashley), and Miller Magness (Lindsay), great grandchildren Makenzie Magness, Griffin Magness, Lynch Magness, Holt Magness, Ellie Miller, and Daniel Miller. Pall Bearers will be Griffin Magness, Lynch Magness, Holt Magness, Stuart Magness, Lee Miller, and Miller Magness.

Known to many as “Other Mama”, Glenna always had interesting and varied job experiences beginning as a page for MGM Studios as a high school graduate where she met and knew such stars as Judy Garland and her teen idol, Frank Sinatra. In addition to her full-time job as Homemaker, she worked for the Country Music Association, the American Cancer Society, and the Vanderbilt University Department of Psychology. She and her husband Ken were active and starred in numerous productions for Theatre Nashville as well. In her later years she was a dedicated and enthusiastic volunteer at Saint Mathew School. Glenna was a very generous person and she will be missed by her family and remembered for all the unconditional love and support that she gave them.

Visitation will be at Harpeth Hills Memorial Gardens on November 19 from 12:30pm until 2:30pm. Service to follow at 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Saint Mathew School General Fund (business office: 615-646-0378).
