Guy Benjamin Nerren- Age 85, September 3, 2016.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Lori Patricia Knox Famularo; parents, Abby Alma Rico and Guy Buren; siblings, Velma McMinn, Martha Van Eaton, Buren Milton Nerren and Rachel Johnston.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patricia Martin Nerren; daughters, Kellye (Jeffrey) Rice and Kaye (Randall) Burton; grandchildren, Benjamin (Rachel) Burton, Haley Rice, Hunter Rice, Will Burton, Dalton Knox, Hope Rice and Wyatt Burton.
He attended Freed Hardeman then graduated from David Lipscomb University with a degree in Sociology. He then went on to earn a Master's Degree from Mississippi State, before serving in the U.S. Army in Germany. He started his work career in Leland, Mississippi, in economic development. Guy then served as President and General Manager of the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce from 1961-1990, bringing thousands of jobs to North Alabama.
Visitation will be from 5-8p.m. on Tuesday, September 7, 2016 at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Brentwood Hills Church of Christ, 5120 Franklin Pk. Nashville. Interment will immediately follow at 1 p.m. at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Guy's honor to Nolen Hills Church of Christ Ministry or The Multiple Sclerosis Society of TN.
