Mr. Harry Biddle Johnson, Jr., age 60, of Nashville passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018 at his home following an extended battle with cancer. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee on January 8, 1958, to Velma Ann Murphey Johnson, and the late Harry Biddle Johnson, Sr.
Harry was an Overton High School graduate and went on to take classes at Nashville Tech and MTSU. He was a Journeyman Tool & Die Maker at Nissan Motor Manufacturing in Smyrna, Tennessee, for thirty-two years. Mr. Johnson was a loving husband, father, son, and friend.
Surviving are his loving and devoted wife of over twenty-nine years Renee W. Johnson. Sons; Adam Harrison Johnson, and Andrew Michael Johnson. Mother Velma Ann Johnson. Brother James Denton (J.D.) Johnson.
Harry is remembered as an honest, trustworthy, fun-loving man who never met a stranger. Besides his family, he found the most joy in helping other people in any way possible. Harry always described himself as a "jack of all trades and a master of none". Harry was an avid outdoor sportsman and loved coaching his sons in baseball and attending Tennessee Volunteer football games with his family.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday, August 2, 2018, at two o'clock in the afternoon at the Harpeth Hills Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will be in the Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. A reception with light food and beverage will follow at the Pavilion at Harpeth.
The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from four until eight o'clock in the evening at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. On Thursday from one o'clock in the afternoon until the hour of the service at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Alive Hospice at alivehospice.org, or ACPMP Research (Appendix Cancer) at acpmp.org/donate in Harry's memory.
