Helen R Deopere was born in East Moline, IL. on February 18, 1931 to Cyriel Deopere and Emma DeRuytter Deopere and passed away on May 7, 2018 at St Thomas West Hospital, Nashville, Tn. Ms. Deopere resided at Villa Maria Manor, in Nashville. She graduated from United Township High School, East Moline, Illinois in 1949. Preceding her in death were parents and brother, Raymond. She is survived by her brother, Franklin of Leesburg, Florida; three children, Karen Curtis of Nashville, Diane Dohogne of Waukesha, WI and Michael Longueville of Mukwanago, WI; three grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Helen led a busy active life. In her retirement, she was an active member and officer of the Social Committee's in the senior communities where she resided that raised money for activities enjoyed by neighbors.
Visitation will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday May 15th at St Matthew Catholic Church in Franklin, TN. A funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 am. Interment will be privately attended by the family. In lieu of flowers Helen has requested donations be made to the Villa Maria Manor Bus Fund. Villa Maria Manor is located at 32 White Bridge Road, Nashville, Tn. 37205.
