Helen Louise Brumit Eaves born June 5, 1938 passed away April 13, 2022. Helen was born in West Nashville, married the love of her life Howard Eaves November 5, 1955.
Helen is survived by daughters, Yvonne Eaves of Nashville, Judy (Paul Alan) Drinnon of Huntsville, Alabama, one son, Jimmy (Helen) Eaves of Nashville, grandchildren, Leah (Garrett) DeYoung, Kimberly (Patrick) Blair, Casey (Kate) Eaves and Kamryn Eaves, great grandchildren, Jackson and Kinsley Blair and Luke and Oliver Eaves, sister, June Hedge and brother, Bobby (Pauline) Brumit. She Loved Elvis, birds and cookbooks and the color pink.
Helen was preceded in life by her husband, Howard Eaves, granddaughter, Lana Drinnon, parents, Ethel and Herman Brumit, Sr. siblings, Betty Brumit, Don Brown, Herman, Jr., Don, Charlie, Jimmy, Leon, Jackie, Tommy and Kenny Brumit. She also leaves behind a host of grown nephews and nieces who she treasured their visits with her.
Helen’s life consisted of volunteer work and helping others. She was a Room Mother at Sylvan Park Elementary School of 7 Years and a girl scout leader for troop 578. Helen was a talented seamstress, she made several wedding dresses for family members. She also sewed uniforms and flags for the Flag Guides at Cohn High School.
