Preceded in death by his parents, Herman W. Killebrew and Mildred Perkins Killebrew; sister, Dorothy Killebrew Smith; uncles, Alva, Gene, Browder; nephew, David Wallace; brother-in-law, Jeff Wallace.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Nancy Killebrew; children, Herman William Killebrew III (Melissa), Matthew Wallace Killebrew (Melissa) and Amanda Killebrew Rhoads; grandchildren, Kate, Taylor, Liam, Jackson and Will; aunt, Peg Perkins; brothers-in-law, Mike Wallace (Sylvia) and Steve Wallace; cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; he is also survived by his four-legged children, Thisbe and Baxter; granddogs, Morgan and Bella.
He loved his life and his family. He was a prankster who went for the long game. Christmas was never complete without the "garage sale Christmas presents."
His family was not defined by blood. His "married" daughters and sisters were as dear to him as his own children.
A visitation will be 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at The Pavilion at Harpeth Hills, 9090 Hwy 100, Nashville. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday at The Pavilion at Harpeth Hills.
