HOOPER, Herschel W. "Sonny"- Age 80 of Nashville, March 26, 2012. He was born August 3 to Herschel Binkley and Sara Adeline Hooper. He is preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife and soulmate, Catherine "Cat" Hooper and his brother, Kenneth "Skeeter" Hooper. He is survived by daughters, Pam Jon Hiller, Patty Brad Meeks; step-daughter, Jeanie Terry Dixon; grandchildren, Josh Hiller, Rebecca Hiller, Scott Groom and Trisha Groom; brothers, Leon Hooper and Jim Gail Hooper; sisters, Clara Ann Smith, Margie Joe Clymer and Mary Frances Humber. Mr. Hooper was in the U.S. Navy and a Korean Veteran. He was a member of the American Legion-Post 5 and a life member of VFW-Post 1970. He was retired from Rand McNally Printing. He will deeply be missed by all who knew and loved him. A special thank you to the staff at Cumberland Manor Nursing Center for their love and care shown to Sonny the last four years. A graveside service conducted by Rev. Don Tassiah will be at 11am on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
