Howard Eugene Eaves born Dec 3, 1933 in Athens Alabama and entered into eternality on July 22, 2018. Precedented in death by parents Mary Delphine (Reeder) and Columbus Dillard Eaves, brothers Curtis (Jack), Columbus, Jr and Carl, sister Ruby Wilcox and Granddaughter Lana Drinnon. He is recently preceded in death by his long-time friend John Phillip Street.
Survived by wife of 62 years Helen (Brumit) Eaves. Children Yvonne Eaves, Judy (Paul Alan) Drinnon and Jimmy (Helen) Eaves. Grandchildren Leah Drinnon, Kimberly (John Patrick) Blair, Casey (Kate) Eaves and Kamryn Eaves. Great Grandsons Jackson Blair, Luke and Oliver Eaves.
Honorary pallbearers will be the neighbors of the 4100 block of Dakota Ave in Sylvan Park.
Howard Eaves was born Athens Alabama. When he was about 5 years his parents and family moved to West Nashville. He was committed to working hard and giving to others his entire life. His first job was when he was around 12 years old, for "Hobo Fleming' delivering groceries. Mr. Eaves was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He served in the US Navy abroad the USS Jenkins. After an honorable discharge he came home to West Nashville, where he met his wife Helen Brumit. He and Helen were married on November 5, 1955. In 1963, Howard and Helen purchased the family home where they raised their 3 children. Howard was in the plumbing business for over 50 years, he like to spend any spare time fishing at his camp on White Oak Creek in Houston County. He enjoyed spending time with others especially his grandchildren and two dogs Peaches and Bella. Howard had several nicknames in his lifetime. Popsy is what he is best known by his grandchildren and others.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 26, 2018, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm, and Friday from 9:00 - 10:00 am, with a Funeral Service beginning at 10:00 am; all at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home.
