Howard Eugene Mangrum

Mr. Howard Eugene Mangrum gained his heavenly wings on March 20, 2023. He was born on December 19, 1936 to the late Andy Luster Mangrum and Viola O. Jones Mangrum in Fairview, TN. He lived for many years in Chicago where he met his loving wife, Bertha. It was uncommon to find a time where his brothers and himself were not working on a project, working in the garden, or BBQ on the 4th. He lived a life filled with love and joy and he showed that to everyone of God’s most genuine men and he will be truly missed.

Preceded in death by his wife, Bertha, son, Eugene, brother, Daniel, sister, Elizabeth and brother, Jimmy “Mimmie”.

Survivors include his son, Tim Mangrum, grandchildren, Alek Harris, Katlyn Brook Mangrum and Nathan Taylor Lanius, siblings, David (Kay)  Mangrum, Donnie (Cheryl) Mangrum, Peggy, Larry (Margarette) Mangrum and a host of loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will begin on Thursday, March 23, 2023, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm also on Friday, March 24, 2023, from 12:00 pm until service time at 1:30 pm. All services to be held at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, 9090 Hwy 100, Nashville, TN. 37221.
