I. Hendon

Born in Calloway County, Kentucky on September 21, 1924

Departed on October 11, 2014 and resided in Nashville, Tennessee

I. Hardeman "Hardy" Hendon, age 90, passed away October 11, 2014.

He served in the US Navy in WWII and worked for 36 years at Equifax Services. In retirement he enjoyed volunteering at Vanderbilt Hospital and was nominated for the Mary Catherine Strobel Volunteer award. He loved Lipscomb basketball and was a faithful member of his church.

Survived by his wife of 57 years Avis Richardson, his sons Terry Hendon (Linda) and Larry Hendon (Cathy), and his grandchildren Christopher, Taylor (Taylor) and Campbell Hendon, his sisters Lajenia Farris and Blanch Pittman, sister-in-law Audrey Mae Hendon, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Bellevue Church of Christ Wed. Oct. 15 from 1-4pm.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:30am Thurs. Oct. 16 at Bellevue Church of Christ. Interment will follow at Middle TN Veterans Cemetery.
