Ima Frazier Coffey, age 87 of Murfreesboro, passed away September 5, 2017 at her residence.

Raised in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Lester Oliver Jackson and Gertie Mae Staggs Jackson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her two husbands: Rolland Coffey and Robbie Frazier; a daughter and son-in-law: Paulette and Ronnie Wentz; and siblings: Esther Brewer, Nona Brewer, Betty Blair, Peggy McWilliams, Delcie Ann McKinney, Velcie Jackson, Chester Jackson, Junior Jackson and Vivian Jackson.

"Nannie", as she was called by her family, will be remembered as a strong woman who loved her family. She was always having fun and enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Though she loved her family deeply, "Nannie" had a special love for fishing.

She was the kind of person who simply put others first. Her family recounts that "she had a saying for everything", and she was quick to pass along her opinion on any situation.

Surviving her and carrying on her legacy are three grandsons and their wives: Robbie & Jessica Wentz, Donnie & Lynn Wentz, and Jason & Tenny Wentz; a sister: Dinah Vandygriffe; 10 great-grandchildren: Kayla, Megan, Anna, Daniel, Julia, Melanie, Tommy, Ashlee, Chaela and Kadin; and extended family.

The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 2:00 - 8:00 PM and again on Friday from 12 noon - 2:00 PM at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with burial in the Cross Garden at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
