Iola Polk Stinson went home to be with the Lord Thursday, November 10, 2016. Iola was born in Huntsville, AL on March 31, 1934. Preceded in death by her parents, J.B. and Josie Polk; brother, Richard Polk. She is survived by her husband, Mays Stinson; children, Walter Stinson, Jay (Angela) Stinson; grandchildren, Kaylee, Karlee and Kaycee; sister, Mai Hibdon; numerous nieces and nephews.

She retired from the State of Tennessee Department of General Services and was a proud member of Barth Vernon United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. on Friday, November 11, 2016 and 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Her family will serve as pallbearers.
