Ira M. Lane, Jr.- Age 87, Left this earth for Heaven on April 26, 2015. Preceded in death by his wife, Janice Lane; parents, Ira and Bertha Lane; sisters, Claudine Mitchell and Pauline Mitchell; brother, George William Lane; nephew, Wayne Mitchell. Survived by his daughter, Carol McCabe; son, Randy Lane; grandsons, Chase and Thomas; brothers, James Deon (Joyce) Lane and John Kennon (Rachel) Lane; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He grew up in Rosebloom, MS and graduated from Cascilla High School. After graduating, he married Janice Brown Lane and moved to Mississippi State University where he received his Bachelors Degree in Business. He then attended Cornell University where he received Masters in Hospital Administration. They later moved to Nashville, TN where he became the President of the Tennessee Hospital Association for 35 years.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to First Southern Methodist Church, 4409 Colorado Ave. Nashville, TN 37209.
