Jack L. Buchanan, age 56, of Nashville passed away October 7, 2020. He was born July 17, 1964 in Nashville to Loretta Mai Neal and the late Roger Hutton Buchanan. He is also preceded in death by his son, Trevor Lee Evans; brother, Roger Buchanan and father in love, Pete Smith.

Jack grew up at Hutton Stone of McCrory Lane. He always loved a Mack dump truck and had the gift of being able to master any piece of heavy equipment. Jack was always singing songs and making his many friends smile. Through the years, Jack, traveled much of the United States working construction. He met the love of his life, Jamie, in North Carolina. For 27 years, they made a family and started a new business, Pipeline Utilities of Riegelwood. Jack moved back home to Nashville where he continued working in construction. He loved animals and had two special cats. His family knew him as Baby Jack and his fellow workers knew him as a hard worker.

Jack is survived by his finac&egrave, Jamie Smith; daughter, Karmen Wix; son, Sterling Smith; daughter, Lindsey Smith; granddaughter, Ashlynn Mae Smith; grandson, Eli Buchanan; mother, Loretta Mai Neal; sister, Gretchen Jackson; and brother, Clay Ard;

The family will receive friends from 11:45 a.m. - 12:24 p.m. Wednesday, October 14th at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. A Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. in the Garden of Good Shepherd of Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
