James Holt, Iii

James Fredrick Holt, III, age 61, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 30, 2021.

He was the son of the late James F. Holt, Jr. and is survived by his mother Elizabeth Maddux Holt, son, James Andrew Holt of Tampa, FL, sisters, Dede Owens, Susan Roberts (Byron), Kirby Corbitt (Jimmy), Margaret Hudson of Santa Rosa, FL, Katy Anderson (Hugh), aunts, uncles, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jim attended Cumberland University and later joined his father’s construction company, Holt-Southeast Corporation as a Project Manager. Then he started his own renovation company doing the work he loved.

Jim’s innate sense of humor always kept his family laughing. He was forever a Grateful Dead fan, traveling to many concerts with his friends. Special thanks to all the kind and wonderful nurses in the ICU at St. Thomas West hospital.

At Jim’s request there will be a service for immediate family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nashville Rescue Mission, Nashville Humane Society or a charity of your choice.
