James Ward

James Harry Ward- was born on March 23, 1930 in Pittsburgh, PA and passed away on August 20, 2017.

He is preceded in death by his daughters, Carol Jean Ward and Karen Lynn Ward.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Evelyn Ward; children, Kathleen Anne Krause (Arlan) and James Joseph Ward (Louise); grandchildren, Jason James Krause, Nicole Marie Krause, John Oman Ward and James Patrick Ward; great-granddaughter, Kayley Ann Krause; sister, Joy Judge; brother-in-law, William Miller (Christine).

He graduated from Penn High School in 1949 and enlisted in the army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion. He loved the Lord and was devoted to his family. He enjoyed his bible study group and attended Christ Presbyterian Church. He loved his Pittsburgh Steelers. He took great pride in his landscaping and was a hard worker and very active. He enjoyed taking care of "his bride".

Visitation will be 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Friday, August 25, 2017 at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home.
