James J.W. Dodd

James “J.W.” Dodd age 74, of Orlando, Florida passed away on July 18, 2022. Preceded in death by his parents James Cecil Dodd, J.C. and Pearl Irene Gatlin.

Survived by loving wife of 42 years Gail Dodd, sons; Jim Jr. Dodd, Billy J. (Lecia) Dodd, John C. (Rachel) Dodd, Cuejo W. Dodd, Brock (Marcy) Brooks, 14 grandchildren, 10 greatgrandchildren, sisters; Doris Bowers, Patricia McCormick, brother; J.C. Gatlin, sister-in-law’s; Maria DiMeglio, Angie (Walter) Goodman, Pam (Greg) Woldt, Ellen Adamo, many friends at Lakeshore Landings Orlando, Florida, numerous nieces, nephews, and loved ones.

J.W. was a loving, husband, father and grandfather. He was the true definition of a cowboy. In J. W’s younger years, he worked on the Oren Brown Cattle Ranch in Kissimmee, Florida. Then as a professional truck driver logging over 6 million miles. He loved traveling and classic cars, but most of all being with his family.

There will be visitation Saturday, July 30, 2022 from 11:00am ~ 1:00pm with a Celebration of Life at 1:00pm all at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home.
