Jane Sanford Means, age 67 of Nashville passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, surrounded by her loving family.

Jane was born in Nashville on August 2, 1948 to the late Thomas & Verna Sanford. Jane attended St. Cecilia Academy and was a member of the LBT sorority. She enjoyed shopping for and spending time with her grandchildren, grandnieces and grandnephew. Jane loved decorating for the various holidays.

She valued honesty above all in herself and others. Survivors include her loving husband of 50 years Randy Means, sister-in-law Harriet (Charlie), children Randy Means, Jr., Ashley Means Gregory (Matt), brother Tom Sanford (Ginger), grandchildren Madison, Alexis, Trent, Savannah and Meagyan, nieces Tara and Morgan and nephew T.R., several grandnieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 9:30 am - 11:30 am at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home where a celebration of Jane's life will be conducted at 11:30 am.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation in Jane's name to your favorite charity.
