Janet Ann Myers, age 66 of Nashville, after a long struggle with dementia, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Mary Dangel of Akron, Ohio.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, John (Jack) Myers; son, John (Stephanie) Myers II of Nashville; daughter, Jennifer (Ben) Morris of New Albany, MS; beloved grandchildren, William and Emily Myers, Molly, Jay, and Lucy Morris. She is also survived by her sister, Linda (Les) Radwany of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, and brothers, Carl (Joan) Dangel, and Tom (Poochie) Dangel, all of Akron, and many nieces and nephews.

Janet was born on May 8, 1948 in Akron, OH. She graduated from St. Vincent High School (1966) and from the Akron General Hospital School of Nursing (1969). In 1999, she completed her BSN degree at the University of West Georgia. For more than 35 years, she served as a nurse and nursing administrator in Akron and Canton, OH, Carrollton, GA, Cookeville, TN, and Nashville, TN.

She was a happy loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who will be missed by those left behind.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Franklin, TN on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 11:00 AM .
Visitation will be that morning at 10:00 AM.
