Janice Brown Lane- Age 85, Left this earth for Heaven on Nashville, May 8, 2014. Preceded in death by her parents, Pate and Jessie Brown; brother, Pate Brown; niece, Neesie Cook. Survived by husband of 69 ½ years, Ira M. Lane, Jr.; daughter, Carol McCabe; son, Randy Lane; grandsons, Chase and Thomas; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She grew up in Cascilla, MS and graduated from Cascilla High School. After graduating, she married Ira. M. Lane, Jr. and they moved to Mississippi State University for 4 years and then moved to Nashville in 1960. A life celebration service will be at 10:30 am on Monday, May 12, 2014 at First Southern Methodist Church, 4409 Colorado Ave. with Jack Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to First Southern Methodist Church or The Gideons.
