Jasper Neely

Departed on January 30, 2015 and resided in Nashville, Tennessee

Jasper "Jay" Melvin Neely, passed this earthly plain on January 30, 2015, he was 78 years old. He was a native of Bradley County, TN and lived his adult life in Nashville, TN. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mrs. Patricia "Pat" Frazier Neely.

Mr. Neely, preceded in death by his parents, Charles Melvin and Edwina Kile Neely, is also survived by sons Charles "Chuck" and Roy Neely; granddaughters Summer and Chelsi Neely; and sisters Sandra and Helen (Terry) Toney.

Mr. Neely was a loving husband and father. He coached Roy's little league football and basketball teams; served as president of the Retarded Children's Association; and served as co-president of the Harpeth Valley PTA.

Mr. Neely loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing and even mowing the grass. He loved animals and was kind to everyone; he was a much respected man.

Jay worked for the US Army Corps of Engineers, retiring after 43 years.

He was loved and will be missed by all that knew him.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 3, 2015 from 12:00 noon thru 2:30 pm, with a Memorial Service beginning at 2:30 pm.

In Lieu of flowers, the family request donation be made to Alive Hospice.
