Jayme Burns, 46, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center after a brief illness. Jayme loved many things, especially his family and his large circle of friends. Being with them brought him great happiness. He was happiest, however, when he was outdoors - hunting from a tree stand or a duck blind, fishing for crappie or bass or running limb lines, or just being "out there" enjoying the beauty and peacefulness of God's creation.

Jayme will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Dana Burns, his son, Daniel Burns, his parents, Gayle Meyers and Dan and Susan Burns, and his grandmother, Dorothy Burns.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Jayme Burns Memorial at the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Foundation (http://www.twrf.net), or the American Diabetes Association ( http://www.diabetes.org/donate/) . TWRF donations should be made after October 25, 2016.

Jayme's family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, October 23, from 3:00pm until 7:00pm, and Monday, October 24, from 10:00am until the time of graveside services at 11:00am. Eric Burns, Jim Ford, Colby Galey, Darren Kirby, John Redmond, and Tim Wood will serve as pallbearers.

Both the visitation and the service will be held at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens (9090 Highway 100, Nashville, Tennessee).
