Ms. Jean D. Barrett, age 75, of Nashville went to be with her heavenly Father Wednesday, August 21, 2019. She was born September 1, 1943 in Paris, Tennessee to the late Hubert Franklin and Carolyn Juanita (Cantrell) Dowdy. Jean is also preceded in death by her daughter, Brooke Barrett Hale and sister, Judy Marchetti.

Jean was an administrative assistant for Nashville Metro Water Services for 38 years until her retirement. She was a 1962 graduate of West High School and attended Middle Tennessee State University.

Jean is survived by her son, Michael Barrett; grandson, Dylan Hale; and granddaughter, Angel Hale.

The family will receive friends from 10 - 11 a.m. Saturday, August 24th at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. A celebration of life grave service will follow at 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel Hill West garden of Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
