Jeanne Ruth Armstrong Keene- Age 85 of Nashville, TN passed away Monday, February 2, 2015 at The HealthCare Center at West Meade Place. She was born on October 10, 1929 in Knoxville, TN. Jean was the daughter of Charles McTeer Armstrong and Mattie Ruth Bailey Armstrong. She is survived by her three children, Gary Stephen Keen, Cynthia Ann Keene (Billy Reed Smith) and Robert Bailey Keen (Mary); granddaughter, Mary Katherine "Kate" Keene. Jeanne is also survived by her brother, John Bailey Armstrong; one special niece, Ann Rita Ditmore; nephews and special friends, Joann Wright and Diane Keene.

She was a graduate of Gulf Park College, a member of Belle Meade United Methodist Church, The Centennial Club and Hillwood Country Club. Jeanne was a retired school teacher at St. George's Kindergarten and was loved and admired by all. Her family and friends will remember her for her beauty, her strength and her amazing insight. She lived her life with a zeal for "embracing the moment" and left a special gift in the hearts of all those who loved her. We will miss her.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
