Jesse Burton (J.B.) DuRard, Jr. (age 85) a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away on October 24, 2024.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jesse Burton DuRard Sr. and Lida Christine Head DuRard. JB, as he was affectionately known by all, was a direct descendant of Joseph Desaque DuRard (1735-1812) who was one of the original settlers of Nashville.
He was a 1957 graduate of Hillsboro High School. In 1961, JB graduated from the George Peabody College Of Business (now Vanderbilt University) and enjoyed a long rewarding career as a sales executive with BindTech.
JB was a collector of model trains, an avid reader and a sports enthusiast of ALL sports! He especially enjoyed UT Vols and Titans football.
JB was a long time member of Bellevue Christian Church where he had served as treasurer and long term elder of the congregation.
JB is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Ella Mae Massey DuRard; his cherished daughters, Dena (David) Mays-Sullivan and Tanya (Scott) Rice; and his loving grandchildren; Kayla Rice, Andrea Mays, Kirsten (Cole) Bradshaw, Justin DuRard Mays, and Cassidy Rice. Great Grand Children; Kai Rivers and Fallon Willcutt.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bellevue Christian Church in honor of JB's memory, or the charity of your choice.
